I'm wondering how to clear that out to keep that from happening. This tells me that the firmware code is being stored somewhere waiting to install itself the moment the UEFI Capsule option is enabled once more. Upon reboot, the laptop IMMEDIATELY goes into a bios upgrade of the latest BIOS once again. Thinking that this may be related to disabling the BIOS switch, I went back in and re-enabled UEFI Capsule. When I went to run Windows Updates to see if it'd force a check for any BIOS, I received an error message (didn't write it down) but pertained to unable to check for updates due to a service not running. I then downgraded my Latitude 5500 to a much lower bios revision, restarted Windows and things seemed to be fine. I disabled the BIOS > Security > UEFI Capsule.
